At the recent Xerocon at the London ExCel we heard from various Xero product partners and app partners on their exciting new products for 2020.
Xero announced a suite of features targeted towards small businesses, the most exciting one being Business Snapshot – this will give small business owners a high level view of their important business metrics and trends, helping them to make decisions quickly on important issues. Xero also announced major advances in Hubdoc’s machine learning-powered data capture technology.
Xero also unveiled an exciting new partnership with Transferwise, which will enable businesses to pay their suppliers straight from the Xero software. This announcement was met with excitement as accountants and book-keepers have been hoping for this for a while.
There was a common theme at the conference of improving small businesses cash flow and the enhancements to payment facilities with Stripe and GoCardless will further improve automation of collecting payments from customers. Xero announced that Stripe will now pay out every three days instead of every seven and this is being rolled out in the next three months.
Along with new products came product integrations. Xero announced better integrations with Google, Microsoft Office 365, HubSpot and MailChimp – according to Xero, this will create seamless and smarter workflows between Xero and the apps which small businesses use daily.
